Key Verses:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” Matthew 6:25-27
“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” Psalms 94:19
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2
“When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.” Colossians 3:4-5
“Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.” Colossians 3:9-10
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15
A Message from Melissa: “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thess. 5:21): Study the Scripture for yourself and remember that I am just a person sharing the Gospel. I make mistakes. I don't explain the Word of God in a way that will resonate with everyone. I am not going to get it right all the time, and nor will any teacher, preacher, YouTuber, or pastor. I believe we can learn so much from each other, but no person's teaching can replace getting into the Bible yourself. As Christians let's focus more on the truth that unites us -- that we are saved by grace through faith because of what Christ did for us on the cross -- rather than on the details meant to divide us. Thank you for being here, and thank you for giving me grace.
