On the fourth day of our discussion about Fear, we talk about one of the many damaging manifestations of fear: walls. We build walls around our hearts, our selves, our homes, our cities, and our countries because of fear. But what’s the alternative? The alternative that we discuss is replacing all these walls with boundaries, which are rooted in love rather than fear. Walls keep people out, while boundaries show people where you stand in relation to them so they can know how to connect with you. Walls are built out of fear, boundaries are a natural byproduct of love.
