Kristýna finally arrived to Madrid as well but before she left, she went to visit her grandparents, did some last minutes doctor’s appointments and spend the day of her flight with her sisters. Since the university classes already began, Lauren had a rough week (going to Spanish classes alone, without Kristýna made it even worse). But we went to an amazing concert of an Eurovision contestant Amanda Tenfjord that made us both very happy. The production was just… something else.
In the main part of this episode we dove into the heavy topic of going back and forth between Madrid and our home countries. It has been extremely difficult since the beginning and the scariest thing is that it never gets easier. Only the cause and reason of the difficulty changes over time. We would have never thought we would have to go through anything like this and the cycle is becoming emotionally draining. At least the good thing is that now, you can find a lot of content that you can indentify with and relate to. Because that really helps you feel normal and that you are not overreacting over what’s happening with you. We compared leaving for Madrid in the past and now as well as going home the first time and the other times.
In the book club part, we celebrate Kristýna’s amazing achievement of finally finishing The Wuthering Heights and Lauren announces she’s started reading her dad’s newly published book called The Sedan!
