After years of opposing the expansion of gambling, in 2020 Nebraska voters overwhelmingly approved gambling at licensed racetracks with licensed gaming operators. At the time of the election, Nebraska outlawed gambling, except for the state lottery, licensed raffles, and bingo. This episode features an update on Warhorse Casinos from Lance Morgan and Lynne McNally, including the announcement of the ground-breaking of Warhorse Casinos in Lincoln and Omaha! The Lincoln casino is expected to open in September of this year and feature a 9,000-square-foot gaming floor as well as 445 slot machines, live racing, and more. Thanks to these leaders, Nebraskans will soon have the opportunity to watch racing, gamble and enjoy casinos right at home.
