We conclude our season with our TOP 5 all-time podcasts:
What is innovation that transforms organizations? Peter Drucker defined innovation as "change that creates a new dimension of performance." But how does one do that? It is not what most people think it is. It is not some creative new thought and some wild idea that just happens to work. It is not thinking outside the box. It is eliminating the box, using the scientific method on a small scale to find what works, and then scaling it up. Zoot and the Gianneschi Center are in the middle of a research project on real innovation in small organizations. The G3X Conference this year is centered on the idea of innovation. Zoot discusses true innovation from his research and his own experience growing an organization 400% during the recession.
We conclude our season with our TOP 5 all-time podcasts: This is a two-parter:
There is a lot of information, and frankly mythology, out there about grantwriting. This week we start a two-part special on grantwriting with everything you need to know about how to do it effectively, and what people are saying about your grant after it gets submitted. We work with Victoria Torres Director of Community Impact at the Samueli Foundation who has produced grants, reviewed grants, written grants, and taught grantwriting in her former role at OneOC and currently as a professor at Cal State Fullerton (she knows the issues from all sides); Kim Sanchez, a Grant Professional Certified (GPC) of LetsGetGrants.com and yours truly, Zoot Velasco, a former CFRE who has written millions in successful grants, served on 30 grant panels, produced grants, and teaches the art of grantwriting.
