No, I am not saying your pastor is lying to you. I am saying that we should be taking responsibility for our own spiritual life. In our One Verse, the Berean Jews were comparing everything that Paul taught against what Scripture taught. I think it would be wise for us to do the same. You aren't showing disrespect to your pastor. Instead, you are learning how to feed yourself.
