Welcome back to 50Talk. This is Episode 66 and Me (Victor) & Cathy are glad to have you all join us again. We reached a big milestone in our show this week. We got our 3,000th download and we just want to thank everyone who's been listening for 66 shows. We really do appreciate all (3 at least) of you. We start the show off this week with a thank you to Cathy for posting on our Family Facebook Page about my Grandpa & Grand Ma Craig. They are the reason for our family and the traditions and values that we have. So we as a family honor them this Black History Month. 

We have to talk about "The Balloon" that was floating across the United States the last few days. Y'all know I can't miss a moment to talk about some of our political leaders and the craziness that they do. The President has been getting hammered for a few days for his lack of action on this matter. 

Republican led States across the country are pushing Legislation to restrict Drag Show Performances. This is completely insane and scary at the same time. Though this is not law as of today we still need to pay attention to what's going on. I mentioned The Handmaidens Tail a few times in the show. This is where our politicians  In Republican led States are trying to take us to.  Y'all need to stay awake out there. 

Family ties and the differences between Black and White Families is up next. We feel that Black Families (folk) usually has a sense of community with each other but maybe not so much with white families/folks. This is just our opinion and based off of our interactions with different families over our time together. 

The next topic picks up right where Family Ties ends and it's about the movie You People. Out on Netflix and in the Top 10 most watched this week. We give our opinion of the movie and mention some of the stars that are in the movie. Of course I (Victor) will give my opinion on the movie. 

Next up we are talking about the funeral for Tyre Nichols and also the eulogy by Rev. Al Sharpton. Ben Crump and Kamala Harris also had some words to say as well. I mention that Reverend Al is growing on me as we both get older. Sadly as much as he is doing funeral like this one we will continue to see him. 

We can't go to long with out talking about the Governor of Florida Ron DiSantis and him trying to mandate high school girl athletes reveal there menstrual cycles for what ever reason that may be. I believe its to keep Transgenders out of girls athletics because we all know that is such a big problem. (sarcasm)

George Santos is back in the News again but this time it may be because of a sexual assault. A House Ethics complaint has been filed against him. Y'all have got to hear this. Nothing this guys does surprises me any more. He is just a magnet for negative attention.
