The New Jersey Turnpike is a legendary drink typically reserved for a person on the losing side of a bet. The drink calls for the server to ring out the mat found on the floor of a bar into a shot glass. Then, the liquid drippings found on a nearby bar rag are squeezed into the glass to complete the cocktail.
