Tesla has been a vocal champion for the pure vision-based approach to autonomous driving, and in this year’s Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), its chief AI scientist Andrej Karpathy explained why. Also recent tweets by Elon Musk suggest FSD subscription is coming soon alongside a refined Tesla Vision. Tesla Vision is an end-to-end computer vision system built with NVIDIA’s CUDA, a parallel computing platform by the graphics processing unit (GPU) maker. The software powers the latest generation of Tesla’s Autopilot and self-driving technology.
