Hello and Welcome to Season 11, Episode 7 of TTHLC Podcast
Today I speak with Lacey Richcreek who has Cerebral Palsy.
I am so grateful to speak to Lacey who is taking a break from social media at the moment, but she made time for me, which is just wonderful.
We discuss that having a disability is a real thing and I ask Lacey the following questions:
We share our dislike for fireworks and that for both of us, staying inside and listening to music is the better option :)
That Lacey didn’t have any friends from the age of 8 or 9 until the age of 20 years old.
Lacey brings up a brilliant point of view that when she wants to build up a new social relationship, and her learning to be an adult the building up of a friendship comes in between cooking and cleaning - so things take a lot of time and energy (which we can definitely use in our lives, what ever age we are :)
Lacey says that when walking , counting her steps is a good tip and in order for her to be more mobile she does need the help of her very supportive family.
We talk about relationships with a disability and it’s important for everyone, whether we have Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Autism or AuDHD that the right loving person is out there for us. Lacey has a wonderful boyfriend called „Lance“ in which she describes how they met and how the unison between the two of them has resonated positively through the family.
This is my absolute favourite episode of TTHLC Podcast, it took a month for us to get to talk with each other and this is a podcast I will never forget.
Thank you Lacey for sharing your life with us.
