As the daughter of an undocumented immigrant who was forced to escape the Belaúnde crisis in Perú, Cristina left her native country at a very young age, along with her family, to pursue the American dream and become a voice for the voiceless and an advocate for minorities. Cristina's passion for journalism and immigration topics has led her to become one of the most prominent Latina journalists in the state of Utah, where she has reported for Univision32, Telemundo Utah, KUTV and ABC4.
