I am pleased as a duck with a junebug to say that Mary Austin, guest host, joins me again to chat about John chapter 5. There is so much here; this chapter is dense. We hit some high points but definitely didn't get close to addressing everything. You are always welcome to contact me thru my website or socials. Hopefully, you have a community locally to take questions to but if not, reach out! God's word is dense and strange sometimes but oh, so worth it. In it, we find the savior!
Chapter 5
Tips for when you read scriptures that are confusing:
-try to rewrite them in approachable English, summarize sections or rewrite them as if you were speaking to a child
-try reading that scripture in different translations
-use different color inks to point out trails of thought or speech or concepts
-make lists of what the scripture is saying
