5.10 Saving lives (Death)

Listen Later

• What comments do you have to make about the blanket attitude of doctors to save life. Aren’t there many human beings who have unresolved problems and they should continue their life, and then there are other people who have resolved them and yet they are kept alive?

In this teaching from the Pathwork Guide, we explore the complex question of whether all lives should be preserved at all costs. The Guide explains that, given humanity’s current level of spiritual awareness, it is not possible—or wise—to decide whose life should or should not be saved.

Attempting to make such distinctions without deeper understanding could lead to greater harm.

Instead, the teaching points to a deeper truth: life and death ultimately follow inner laws. If a person’s deeper being is ready to leave, no external effort can truly prevent it. The real issue is not medical decision-making, but the lack of awareness of the inner dimension that governs life.

The key insight is that true clarity can only come through self-awareness. Rather than relying solely on external judgments, we are called to look within—especially where it is most uncomfortable. This inner work is what opens the door to real understanding, compassion, and alignment with life’s deeper processes.
