Listen to Volker Heyde, Marine Veteran, as he talks about growing up in Germany while his father, German Soldier & Courier, fought in WWII. Once the war was over they all immigrated from Germany to the United States and became American citizens. Volker joined the Marine Corps and vowed to himself that he would serve overseas and got the opportunity to serve in Japan twice.
