It isn't often that The Way-Back Music Machine stops in one city and stays there for all three stories, but this week, on Episode 52 of The Way-Back Music Machine, we stay in London for all the stories, including the Memphis to Merseyside segment.

We start talking about Reginald Kenneth Dwight, who was a member of a band that had seemed to run its course. In 1968 Reggie decided to go solo, but first he had to find a better name. He does it on a flight from the U.S.A. to the U.K.

Then we talk about yet another odd one banned by the B.B.C. and if you heard last week's show, you may already be familiar with the song and artist.

Finally, a D.J. being told to pretend to like a song....well it just doesn't end well.
