On Tuesday it was World Mental Health Day. In Scotland, around 1 in 4 people are estimated to be affected by mental health problems in any year. Maybe you're affected as well?
I see a lot of parishioners suffering from anxiety. It seems that there are more and more pressure on people to perform and outclass one another leading to added stress.
Our passage for this week helps us to refocus our thoughts when we're faced with affliction and hardship. In light of all the warfare going on around the globe (the latest being all that's happening in Israel and Gaza) it would serve us well to once more make Christ our safe haven and fortress.
How do we do that? By living in His Peace and experiencing the Joy of knowing that we are saved. Those things can't be taken from us. It also helps to talk about our feelings of fear or regret or depression. If you are feeling anxious and in need of a cuppa, PLEASE make contact. We'd love to grab you for a cuppa.
