We're getting academic this week! The Dummies interview Professor Matt McMahan, Assistant Director of Comedic Arts at Emerson College. Matt is a performance scholar, an improviser, a Ph.D., and one of Devin and Noah's all-time favorite teachers. He teaches Evolution of Comedy, Performing Improv Comedy, Performing Sketch Comedy, and Why Did the Chicken? Fundamentals of Comedic Storytelling. 

They discuss what makes falling funny, Matt’s upcoming book on 18th-century Italian theatre in France, his favorite Lazzi (elastic gags), Jewish jokes, and play a game of "Who Would Win in a Fight? Historic Comedy Figures Edition."  

This episode's Dumbest Things of the Week concern Devin breaking her clavicle, Matt sending the wrong gift, and Noah eating outside at a scungy Carl's Jr.
