In 1999, when music critic Daniel Durchholz described what the voice of this week's artist sounded like to new ears, it was lovingly described as "like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car."  But BY GOD, 5 decades and 17 albums later, he is one of the most beloved songwriters/storytellers in American Music!  I know for some his voice is most definitely an acquired taste, it's the lyrics and the emotion he gives in each song that makes him so powerful to this day.  It even got him inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 (deservedly so).  But WHAT IS Tom Waits' best album?  With 17 of them under the belt of the Pomona, California native, everyone has an opinion.  But if you want to know my opinion on his discography, tune in this week to find out.  I should give you a heads up, this will be a very controversial ending!
