53: Former QB for the Washington Huskies, Johnny Durocher

Listen Later

Casey is joined by Johnny Durocher. Durocher was a quarterback for the Washington Huskies during one of the only extended downturns in the history of the program. In 2006 he backed up Isaiah Stanback and Carl Bonnell, and in a November game against Stanford, Durocher threw an interception, and while trying to make a tackle on the return, Durocher was blocked and sustained a concussion. During a routine brain scan that followed, doctors discovered a brain tumor the size of a golf ball. Durocher’s career as a UW quarterback was over, but his involvement with football was still in its infancy. Hear about what he’s been doing since then on this episode of the Casey McLain show.
