When our chief medical officer mentioned that we were at a tipping point, the assumption was that he was using the evocative language as a continuation of the scaremongering he has inflicted on the general population.  The modelling of virus does not have the capacity for a tipping point, but we can see a dangerous feedback loop in the way we as a collective are  processing fear.  Badly pressing fear I mean.

The title is a quote from Gatafix whose famous magic potion in Asterix was sought after by the Romans.
