The gift of exhortation is a lot like being a cheerleader with a kick. It's a word gift that inspires and compels and draws the family of God forward, upward, outward. It sooths and agitates all at once. An exhorted is like a commander that rallies the troops for action, bracing them for the hard road ahead, but inspiring them with the promise of the good good road beyond it.
