The bullying that Grawp was suffering (that Hagrid had to save him from) is a result of colonization and displacement because giants were not meant to be in such close quarters. They've been attacking and killing each other because they weren't meant to be crammed into wherever they've escaped to, but there's nowhere else for a giant to go.
