A young Emirati who aspires to become an astronaut at the age of 30 joins the Future Talk team today. Alia Al Mansoori is currently studying biological sciences at the University of Edinburgh. At 15 years old, she had beat 109 competitors to take home the winning prize at the Genes in Space UAE competition where her project was aimed towards helping astronauts avoid cell damage on long flights. In this episode, she discusses how growing up in the UAE has helped her advance her passion in sciences during her high school years and what she aspires to do upon her return back to the UAE.
