#54 - A Crash Course on Indigeneity, Indigenous Performanceship and Responsible Kink w/ Lynx Chase

Listen Later

I'm baaaaaaaack!

It's 2021 and although I had released a bonus episode last week, I am really kicking things into high gear with this week's guest, Lynx Chase, who is officially ringing in 2021 on the pod! Lynx is a Metis, French and Lithuanian stripper, burlesque artist and kinkster who I have been dying to speak with FOREVER. They are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to BDSM and kink positivity and which they happily shed light on. A bulk of the episode goes into speaking about their Indigenous ancestry and what that means for them. Identifying in one of the most marginalized minority groups, I ask Lynx on their experiences of being of mixed ancestry. We learn a bit about Indigenous history in Canada (also applicable to the USA) and how this painful colonization has played in their Indigeneity, sexuality, and performanceship. We also go into their dancing with the Indigenous burlesque troupe, Virago Nation, their stances on responsible dominance in the kink community and how Aladdin played a part in their sexual awakening as a kid. All this and more on this week's episode - tune in!
