(54) Claudia Schreier, Choreographer on the Rise

Today we are joined by  choreographer Claudia Schreier here at the Vail Dance Festival.  Claudia was Born in New York and  trained at the Ballet School of Stamford and received a B.A. in Sociology and Secondary Degree in Dramatic Arts from Harvard University in 2008.  Ms. Schreier has been commissioned by companies and organizations including the New York Choreographic Institute, Vail International Dance Festival, Ballet Academy East, The Ailey School, and many others.  Ms. Schreier is the recipient of the second annual Virginia B. Toulmin Fellowship for Women Choreographers at the Center for Ballet and the Arts at NYU, where she is currently in residence.  Claudia will be presenting a world premier tonight here in Vail and today we talk a little about her career, and what audiences can expect to see from her choreography here in Vail.
