Do you wonder why it takes so long to be notified of a cybersecurity breach?
How is it when we hear of cybersecurity breaches, a minimum of 3-4 months pass before the news is admitted publicly? Is this part of the due diligence
process taken by an insurance company demanding the company not to discuss it? Is it a legal issue where attorneys are advising against a public announcement? Perhaps the FBI is trying to determine who the bad actors are? Is it an unwillingness by the company to disclose cybersecurity breaches because of how it might affect the bottom line?
