Is your hair greasy from the sweat?
-“Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons, every day of the week. This is message #55 and I am Aaron Havens.
Welcome to Friday! We made it.
I’m not sure about you, as I look back on my week I vague recollection of a day called Monday and what was accomplished on that day. Four days ago feels like a month ago.
I was on a road trip with a friend a couple dozen years ago. We drove from Miami, Fl. To Springfield, MO. and then returned to Miami. Our pace was blistering as we rolled through the miles and hours. On the return trip, somewhere in Kentucky we decided we needed a bit of refreshing. So, we purchased some shampoo from a gas station and washed our hair. Yep, at a gas station in middle of Kentucky a couple greasy head, hard working, focused whipper snappers washed our hair. I bet that was a site to watch.
I’m not sure if its true or not… I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed washing my hair more than I did that day. It was so refreshing! And It was just the quick pick me up our crazy trip needed.
When you’re head is down and you are getting work done, do you take breathers to “wash your hair”?
As the days of this life roll by… as you are resolute on your life mission… do you take pauses along the way to recharge and freshen up?
Let’s be a people that moves though life, focused on our success plan… and may part of the success plan be, scheduling moments to recharge.
What do you do on a daily, weekly, month, yearly rhythm that makes sure you have enough gas in your tank… to make sure you are able to stay focused and live passionately for the long haul?
Big take away:
-On a scale of 3-13… are you feeling like you’re good to go for a few hundred more miles or are you desperately in need of a break?
-When was the last time you “paused” and “recharged”
Thanks for calling in today. Tune in tomorrow for the weekend edition of Growth Instigators Hotline. At the sound of the beep… I’d like to hear from you! What is one or two things you do to make sure you are happy and healthy and in it for the long haul?
