This weeks sermon is based on the texts of Isaiah 30:1-5, 9-13, 18-22 & Luke 10:25-37. Many people, including myself, looked on at the events of Capitol Hill this week in horror and frustration. As I sat there and watched I became disgusted at the use of Christian rhetoric and symbolism that was used to justify such actions. Not only is this a sermon a reaction to the events of that day but a call to be the people that God has called us to be.
