Is the interface deserving of the label "social media platform"?

LinkedIn, unlike most social media platforms, is a business networking site that aims to assist users build business contacts, exchange their experiences and resumes, and find jobs. But, can we honestly call it a social networking site, or are there flaws in this platform?
