In 1966, residents of Point Pleasant, West Virginia claimed to see a tall, winged creature with red, glowing eyes. Thus, the legend of Mothman was born. Sightings continued for just over a year before a tragic accident, leading many people to believe the reason for the monstrous being’s presence was born out of a centuries-old curse that plagued the area.
Is Mothman the result of local paranoia about the curse, or is there really something lurking above the rooftops in Appalachia to warn us of tragedies to come?
