Welcome to the 2020 debut episode of Metal Matters. We’re kicking the year off with author and music journalist Jon Wiederhorn. If you’re read anything about metal or extreme music, it’s likely that you’ve read Jon’s words. His work has appeared in Decibel and Revolver among others. You may also have read his words in his books Louder Than Hell (co-authored with Katherine Turman), biographies on Al Jourgansen, Scott Ian or Roger Miret. 

We’re on the eve of the release of Jon’s new book, Raising Hell, a collection of war stories and anecdotes by some of the sickest dudes in metal including, but not limited to Phil Anselmo, Ben Falgoust, Randy Blythe, Max Cavalera, Gary Holt, King Fowley…the list goes on.
