Welcome to another episode of Kindful the Podcast.
Today we're talking about a really important topic: recognising ourselves. We can be so quick to focus on what's going 'wrong' in our lives, that we lose sight of the journey and just how far we've come to get us to where we are today.
I was reminded of this last week, as I took a leisurely train trip into Melbourne CBD, and reminisced about how this time three years ago I was in a completely different place. I used to dream about the life I live today, and yet so often I find myself taking it for granted. I forget to recognise just how far I've come, and get caught up in all of the 'problems' in my life or focus on where I think I should be, instead of where I am. This is human nature.
Of course life will present us with challenges along the way, it always does. And it's our attitude towards what is happening that can determine how we move through it. Are we resisting, avoiding or judging our experience? Or are we allowing ourselves to see the opportunities for learning and growth that life is presenting us with.
I hope you enjoy today's conversation. Thank you for being here and being you.
