Dr Gil Stynes has been a University Hospital Geelong (UHG) stalwart over many years, starting work here first as an intern, before working as a general surgery and plastic surgery registrar. When completing a surgical PhD at UHG, Gil developed a specialised implant that allows skin to grown onto foreign materials, potentially revolutionising the field of robotics and skin penetrating medical devices, such as intravenous lines and catheters. 

And the best part? He's a customer at Stonker. Ben was asking about Gil's background in the shop one day and just had to get him on the podcast for a chat. Gil is a doer, a thinker, and creator.
