Larry Hisle was an outfielder that played with the Phillies, Twins, and the Brewers. In 14 seasons Hisle posted a .273 batting average with 166 home runs, 674 RBI’s, in almost 1200 games. Little known fact! On March 6, 1973, Hisle became MLB’s first designated hitter – and in five at bats – he hit 2 home runs (one of them a grand slam) and had 7 RBI’s. Today he'll share his inspirational story with us including helping underprivileged children and how he dealt with race issues during his career.
