Comic book movies all seem to expect a franchise to be made from them. Because of that, they tend to make the first movie an origin story of the superhero in question. But should they?
Should comic book movies instead just focus on telling a good story in a world where the hero is already established and not feel the need to force feed the audience a character's comprehensive backstory? Or should they make sure that everyone is on the same page by spending lots of time on the origin to make sure nothing is left in question?
