gridlocked in grid paper
i step over the stepchildren 
the next line in my lineage
an inheritance that will last 
a lifetime
rocking in my chair
with a pipe in hand
graham crackers
a 20-something's fresh and fertile on my face
and soiled man diapers
my brandy has become room temperature
and they hold my hand crying
and dialing the airport
for the next flight to Tahiti
i need white-out for the will
grab those pillows and hug me
like a whore
