We brought our equipment to Barcelona, Spain to record three special episodes during Spannabis, Europe’s largest cannabis fair, returning in 2022 after two cancelled editions. In this third and final Barcelona Special we welcome Sebastian Sonntagbauer from Austria and Lukas Röth from Germany. Soon after the start of the covid pandemic, they decided to found their own company, providing cannabis genetics for connoisseurs. They called it Pilchard’s Caviar and set up in Galicia, their office overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Sebastian -aka DJ Skunkstar- worked in the Austrian growshop industry and was the resident DJ at Cannabis Liberation Day in Amsterdam, the free ‘protestival’ organized by the VOC between 2009 and 2018. Lukas has lived and studied in Amsterdam, California and Barcelona and has worked for a Spanish seed company and a German medical cannabis start-up. We talk about their respective journeys in the cannabis industry, their vision for Pilchard’s, returning to Spannabis, Germany’s legalization plans and lots more.
