In this episode: I speak to Karin Kellum, a tattoo artist from Illinois, USA. She was prescribed SSRIs at the young age of 16., which eventually led to a prescription of benzodiazepines. After seeing a Netflix documentary, she decided she wanted to come off benzodiazepines, which led to a severe withdrawal.
Karin was initially prescribed Xanax (Alprazolam) and was switched to Ativan (Lorazepam). Karin had stopped her SSRIs years ago, which gave her issues for two years. We talk about resources, tapering strategies like liquid compounding , crossing over to Valium (Diazepam) and much more.
