That’s such an issue I see parents fall into, whether it’s toddlers or teens, with so many things that come up is when we let our own emotions get involved and when our kid says something mean to us, “I don’t wanna talk to you!” or “Get away from me!” or whatever, we take it really personally and in fact it’s not personal.
