Welcome to the next episode of the pod with Xava and Binya, the fantastic duo behind the Shel Maala yeshiva. It was recorded at my old home, the fabulous Sadeh farm.
Shel Maala is a digital-first queer Yeshiva, founded in 5781(2020), in the deep belly of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Their dream is to serve as a fully-stocked, radically irreverent, unapologetically gay Yeshiva in cyberspace, so that every Jew who can access the internet can access joyful, raucous, soul-enlivening queer Talmud, 24/6 (minus shabbes).
Read more about Binya and Xava here, follow Shel Maala on Instagram, and check out the world's first Queer Talmud podcast, co-hosted by Xava, here.
Look out for Ronni, support the podcast, order the book, and sponsor a virtual coffee here.
Book a coffee with a stranger and find out more about the project and the amazing people doing similar things here.
Thank you to all the supporters well as to the amazing band Bukahara for their permission to use their fabulous, on point song 'Storytelling Animal' as our soundtrack.
The World is Storytelling podcast is based on the book by the same name. Written by Arjen Barel, Ronni Gurwicz, and Stu Packer, it is the definitive guide to how sharing stories can be used for social impact and personal growth.
