In Season 4, Jill Devine had many conversations with women she met through social media. Most of the women are entrepreneurs who love to support and promote other female entrepreneurs and this week’s guest joins that community.
Jill was introduced to Kaci Brueck through Instagram. Kaci and her husband, Ryan, are the proud founders and owners of Brueck Creative. They create Learn and Play Placemats, along with custom photo collages.
In Episode 57: What The Last Year Has Taught Me, Jill talked about her love for supporting small businesses. When Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday were approaching, Jill wanted to do more, so she collaborated with Kaci to highlight small businesses in the area.
That collaboration led to Kaci and Jill communicating a lot and developing a friendship, as they have a lot in common. Here are some of the things the two talked about in the episode:
*Both women have 2 young daughters and Kaci’s daughters are the same age difference as Jill’s daughters
*Both women were considered “advanced maternal age” while pregnant
*Sibling dynamics
*Biggest parenting struggle at this moment
*Being a small business owner
*Instilling work ethic into our kids
*Advocating for our kids
*Being known for their Type A personalities and their control issues

Jill would like to acknowledge and recognize the hard work moms put in on the daily. It can be a thankless job at times, and Jill wants these moms to know their worth, so she created the Supermom Shoutout. This week’s Supermom Shoutout goes to Stacy of Olivette, MO! This is a self-nomination and here’s what Stacy submitted:
Good morning! I'm going to self-nominate because why not - I thought I was pretty great before I was widowed but now, I really think I'm something special lol! Widowed at 39 with 2 small boys, Aaron (11.5) and Jonah (8). I was the caregiver and worked full time when Eli was battling cancer. After he passed in September 2018, I decided I needed to make changes – I got healthier, I started spinning, and moved to Pedal the Cause as the Director of Development to help fight cancer, professionally, as well as personally. Privately I've become the "go to" for many who have a young cancer fighter in their lives. I take pride in knowing I can offer something positive from a horrible experience. Managing and thriving as a single parent, yet alone as the sole parent, is challenging all the time but especially during a pandemic, now that’s something! I’m proud of all I have accomplished and that my kids are doing well. We’ve had two dogs in the mix and we’re all making it work. Thanks for the platform and the opportunity to share.
Stacy – YOU are seen and YOU are supported!
