This week we're hearing about the difference between what people find impressive and what God finds impressive. We'll hear the story about how Israel demanded a king, and then how God chose a better king. Our story comes from 1 Samuel 8 and 16.
Our memory verse is, "People look at the outside of a person. But the Lord looks at what is in the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7b
