Tarek Cherkaoui conveys his assessments about today's news media within the framework of his book "The News Media at War", which deals with the differences and some approaches in the publications related to the 2003 Iraq War.

Dr Tarek Cherkaoui is the Manager of the TRT World Research Centre. He holds a PhD in media and communication studies from Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand). He has written several books and academic articles, including "The News Media at War: The Clash of Western and Arab Networks in the Middle East" (I.B. Tauris, 2017). His areas of expertise are media, strategic communication, public diplomacy and news framing.
