The history of the Orkney Islands has been influenced by both the Celts and the Norse which has resulted in its own unique Orcadian myths and folklore. One monster that arises from this mythology is the Nuckelavee, an abomination whose name means Devil of the Sea. With its terrifying appearance and animosity towards humans, the nuckelavee was greatly feared to the point that it was considered unsafe to mention the monster by name for fear of attracting its attention.  Now let’s ignore the warnings and call this devil from the deep on this episode of Snipe Hunt.
