This week we welcome Brittney Richardson (she/her) to our oi am queer team as our audio engineer and is helping us record and edit our episodes! We are so pleased to have her help and so excited to welcome Brittney to our team! To reach Brittney, please email her at [email protected].
This week's episode is us briefly talking about Lex's experience with being told they are not disabled enough by folks who are disabled themselves or folks that are not disabled. Ignorant statements can come from all walks of life but its how we navigate them that really matters even when our own government tries to binary our disabilities, what do we do? We turn to infomercials.
-------------------------
What is Oi am Queer? We are an interabled, gender queer couple sharing our perspectives on sensitive issues such as accessibility, ableism, and the gender binary. Through conversation, we will aim to provide a space for other individuals to share their lived experiences to help start a more inter-sectional dialogue within the two communities.
