Some examples are emails, websites, advertisements, catalogs and others. A copywriter always need to take the customer's journey into consideration. Copywriter needs to understand the entire customer journey specifically understanding the customers problems and understanding how to solve them and then taking them on a journey from problem to solution and further beyond the solution.
