In our first English-language episode, Lebanese social activist and academic Hanine El Mir takes Flora on a wondrous trip through Tarsem Singh's 2006 movie The Fall. It's a film famous for its visual splendour, but Flora and Hanine also dive deep into its unusual narrative techniques. Beyond that, we learn about a sketchy DVD shop in a Beirut suburb that set Hanine on a path of cinema appreciation, and learn how she has weaponized The Fall's iconic mantra ("Googly, googly, go away!") against stress and anxiety.
