At the 2025 Edmonton Heritage Festival, I had the privilege of meeting people from all over the world, each with their own unique culture, journey, and perspective on what it truly means to be Canadian.

I asked three simple questions:
1️⃣ Where are you from / What is your culture?
2️⃣ Why did you come to Canada?
3️⃣ What does being Canadian mean to you?

The answers were heartfelt, inspiring, and a beautiful reminder of how diversity shapes our nation. From stories of resilience and hope to celebrations of freedom and opportunity, every person brought a piece of their homeland and a piece of Canada into the conversation.
