My guest went through many special experiences. Maurice de Rooij spent 10 years in South East Asia and 10 years in the Middle East. He had to work and battle through the second Bali bomb, the second Gulf war in Iraq - while working in Jordan - and - he was in Sharm El Sheikh during the Egyptian revolution. Maurice’s last role in Dakar Senegal brought this experience to an early end, because of covid. Even though - my guest is a passionate hotel director, I met him many times and always with an optimistic and positive approach.
