Gentrification has been a hot topic across the country and the world. It resonates more when it's in your backyard however.

Pilsen is a neighborhood on the lower west side of Chicago and it's been a hot spot for gentrification since the 1990s. This episode I talk with two individuals who are very familiar with this topic:

Dr. Carolina Sternberg an Associate Professor & Chair of Latin American and Latino Studies from DePaul University and Jose Perez an entrepreneur and real estate investor who is also a lifelong resident of Pilsen.
